Wildlife in the garden
We welcome wildlife at the Potager.
One of our first jobs was to build a pond to encourage frogs and newts that would eat slugs and snails.
These amphibians are natural predators of the 'slimers' and help with pest control.
It's been a year and we've had dragonflies, the occasional frog and toad but this spring we didn't have frogspawn and were a little down hearted then Chris noticed a newt and then counted a further 3 newts!
